Astor Park Office continues a transformative development in partnership with Haslam Sports Group and the Edwards Family, turning underutilized land into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood. The project supports workforce housing, economic growth, and job creation, while offering proximity to a premier soccer stadium, public park, art, and future residential living.
Its standout feature is a complex, rippling façade inspired by the adjacent riverfront and Lower.com Field. With 308 staggered corners per floor, the sawtooth design required close collaboration among architects, engineers, and contractors. The custom structure combines cantilevered concrete floors, steel framing, curtain wall assemblies, and a triangular aluminum panel system.
Tight tolerances for the angular façade led to a full-scale mockup to guide construction. Despite challenges from custom detailing, long material lead times, and post-pandemic constraints, the project showcases innovation in both design and execution.
