St. James Lutheran Church The existing 6,000-square foot building was expanded with a 6,100-square foot addition, consisting of new church offices and 8 new classrooms. Approximately 4,200 square feet of the existing space was renovated with new finishes, and electrical and mechanical systems. The design for this project focused on wrapping the existing 1960’s vintage building with a facade that complemented and amalgamated with the existing sanctuary, constructed in 1872. The brick selected for the project and the detailing with cut limestone elements develops a strong aesthetic between the two buildings. |
