Design Central Headquarters Winner of a 2000 AIA Honor Award, this building design reflects the client's desire to expand their work environment, to artistically identify their product design process, and to attack the status quo of basic suburban office structure design. The building masses are arranged as a boundary for the internal site presenting simple, minimal facades to the public side, contrasted by the generous patterned glass openings to the internal site. The overlay in the space between the concept studio wing and the model shop-services wing expresses a constant dynamic of forms, surfaces, spaces and opportunities to meet, review, and discuss processes and products. |
